West Fargo High School and Sheyenne High School will be the newest members of the North Dakota State High School Clay Target League in 2016.
The West Fargo School Board approved the sport in June and the two West Fargo high schools will join Devils Lake, Larimore, Enderlin and Oak Grove high schools in the NDSHSCTL.
“With many new high school teams like West Fargo and Sheyenne joining, and with the addition of new members to existing teams, the League expects to increase the amount of students participating in North Dakota’s fastest-growing high school sport by 300 percent,” said Jim Sable, executive director of the NDSHSCTL in a prepared statement.
The teams will practice and have its competitions at the Shooting Park in Horace. The sport will begin in April.
